At Larson Orthodontics, we believe the retention phase of your treatment is just as important as the active treatment phase. After all, you will want to keep that new beautiful smile.

The type of retention/retainer used is based on a patient by patient basis. Dr. Larson will prescribe the best retainer to fit your needs. Retainers can be either removable (the kind you take in and out) or fixed (bonded behind your teeth). Long-term retention is recommended, as well as periodic visits to our office to evaluate your retainers. Wearing your retainers as prescribed is the best way to keep your teeth from moving following orthodontic treatment. It is also the best way to protect your orthodontic investment.
